Often described as a miracle of nature, this annual display attracts visitors from around the world to witness one of the most beautiful natural events in Southern Africa.

More than 3 000 different species of wildflowers can be found in the region, together with a remarkable diversity of succulent plants that make Namaqualand globally significant in botanical terms. This guided journey combines spectacular landscapes, protected nature reserves, scenic drives, and charming small towns into a memorable springtime escape.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Cape Town to Vanrhynsdorp

Depart Cape Town and travel along the N7, passing through the quaint and interesting town of Darling. Enter the West Coast National Park and visit the Postberg area to view the flowers in bloom.

Overnight: Vanrhynsdorp – Letsatsi Accommodation or similar

Day 2: Vanrhynsdorp to Springbok / Okiep

Continue into the heart of Namaqualand, a region synonymous with spectacular spring flowers. Visit Namaqua National Park and Goegap Nature Reserve before continuing the journey toward Okiep and Springbok.

Overnight: Springbok – Okiep Self-Catering or similar

Day 3: Springbok / Okiep to Augrabies National Park

This morning, head out to see the flowers where they are at their very best before departing for Augrabies National Park, adding dramatic landscapes and another iconic natural attraction to the experience.

Overnight: Springbok – Okiep Self-Catering or similar

Day 4: Okiep to Nieuwoudtville / Clanwilliam Region

Visit the Hantam National Botanical Garden to explore an exceptional variety of flowers before continuing south.

Overnight: Clanwilliam – Self-Catering Apartments

Day 5: Clanwilliam to Cape Town

Explore Clanwilliam, including a visit to Ramskop Nature Reserve and the Rooibos House. After the day’s exploration, return to Cape Town.
